A recent New York Times article entitled, A Vexing Question for Democrats: What Drives Latino Men to Republicans? hides a major lie in a clever mix of truth and seeming self-reflection. A paragraph far down in the article states:
Some of the frustrations voiced by Hispanic Republican men are stoked by misinformation, including conspiracy theories claiming that the “deep state” took over during the Trump administration and a belief that Black Lives Matter protests caused widespread violence.
Black Lives Matter didn’t cause any widespread violence? That’s misinformation? The families of the 19 dead in Minneapolis may beg to differ. I could hear the riots in Philadelphia from my back deck. BLM are left-wing brownshirts; forcing people to kneel—like the Maoists they are. And why is deep state mentioned in scare quotes? I thought they were proud of it now that they cheated their guy in?
